There’s only 3 weeks left before we leave for the Graceland School in Kenya to work with underprivileged teen girls. Our team is planning a fund raiser for the Graceland Girls project on Sunday, June 12 from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at the Mission Bar in Boston.
We would love to share our plans and have a beer with you, so please join us. Complimentary appetizers will be donated by The Mission bar. (You can even join in trivia at 8:30 p.m.)
As you know, while in Kenya, we will be teaching the girls to use digital cameras, which we will then donate to the school upon our departure, to produce imagery that illustrates how education has impacted how they view themselves and the world around them. However, each camera requires one CompactFlash memory card and 4 AA batteries (which drain quickly).
Since Graceland Girls is a non-commissioned labor of love, our team is seeking donations of 32 – 64 MB (or smaller) Compact Flash Memory Cards for the girls, as well as AA batteries to go in the cameras, which you can bring to the Mission bar and we’ll donate them directly to the Graceland school.
